Petrina Turner has a unique educational background and working experience. After attending North Carolina A&T State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (IE), she began her career as an IE working for Fortune 500 Companies like IBM and Eaton Corporation. Soon after, she realized her passion was not just “product”, but “people.” She then returned to school and received her Master’s Degree in Urban Studies at Savannah State University.

Since receiving her Master’s in 2005, she has worked for the local government, a university and for the local public school system as both an employee and a consultant. Her 10+ years of experience entail data collection and compilation; research design; statistical analyses and evaluation; managing reports for local, state and federal grants; conducting community profiles and collecting data for local re-development plans.

She is the owner and lead consultant of PDT Consulting and manages projects related to data collection, survey development, grant evaluation and reporting. She has partnered with organizations such as United Way, Savannah State University (SAMHSA grants), Bryan County Drug Free Coalition and other entities. In her spare time, she enjoys being a wife, mom to her three boys, reading, traveling and educating her community about socio-economic issues.
